Just wondering what everyone runs for wiper blades? I hate those cheasy looking ones with the "bicycle inner tube" wrapped around them, but you don't want them freezing up either. I think the bosch icons are kind of cool, they are a one piece design that flexes instead of having a framework.

I think it was bladescapes that posted about the triple edge blades. My wife just grabbed a set of the silicone ones and I noticed they have a lifetime warranty. If you fill out the card and sent it in you can supposedly get a new set via a phone call to them. The early ice storms we had this year were hard on blades and I suspect even new ones could have been torn in those conditions, if not careful scraping and attempting to use the wiper before the bond to the windshield was melted. I have used triple edge before and thought they were pretty good. I know it was my fault that these tore this year, and I will be filling out the warranty card and taking advantage of the replacement policy should these fail.

I always use Anco winter blades year round and they are great, and have metal attachment brackets. I agree, sometimes they are hard to find. Napa sells a winter blade that looks the same and seems pretty good, though the brackets are plastic. I have a set on right now. Kmart sells a winter blade too that isnt worth a penny, the cheap plastic crumbled when I tried to install them.

The only problem I have had is because the blades are taller, they ride up onto the wiper stop blocks on the car, and eventually develop an unwiped strip in the middle. That was solved by removing the stop blocks and filing them down square.

I've used the NAPA blades when I couldn't find the ANCO's anymore. They work good, but only last 6 months. I switched everything back to ANCO when I found them for sale again.
