Just wondering what everyone runs for wiper blades? I hate those cheasy looking ones with the "bicycle inner tube" wrapped around them, but you don't want them freezing up either. I think the bosch icons are kind of cool, they are a one piece design that flexes instead of having a framework.

on my plow truck i just run anco's from walmart..i hate those "winter" blades..they dont last but a week and do not swipe more then 1/4 of the window at a time because they dont flex..so i've found the open syle ones to work best...plus they dont fall apart when you bang them on the window to get the ice off of them. and if they do die..they are like $5 to replace i normaly replace my blades once a year.

i have the bosch icons on my explorer...i love the wipers except in the winter the freeze easly and dont swipe the whole window..plus i have screwed up a set now trying to get them unfrozen from the windsheild after being parked..not somthing you wanna do when the wipers are $20 each!! otherwise they are great.

Don't get the triple edge from walmart. There supposed to last the life of your truck. I've had mine for two months and there all torn up and falling apart. I think I'm gonna try the rain x!

I have always had good luck with the high end Bosch wiper blades. I am gonna try the Icons next if my current ones ever wear out.

I've always used Anco Winter blades. I get two years out of them and then I end up replacing them because the rubber dry rots, not because they can't clean the windshield. A few years back, everyone stopped carrying them and I was forced to try other brands. None of them lasted more than 6 months. I finally found Walmart and AutoZone selling Anco Winter blades again, so I switched all my vehicles back over. In the spring I get them on clearance at Walmart for $5 each and I keep them for future use.

Just a little helpful hint to help with wiper blades....There is a product that works and works WELL to preserve the life and performance of these blades. It is called 303 Wiper Treatment. It stops streaking and chattering, and many blades that we THINK are worn out and not fixable, really are. Yes,..they DO wear out...especially with our applications - dealing with ice and all,..but this product CERTainly helps to get much more life out of them. wesport

Besides the cost, any reason why snowplowers don`t run Heated Wipers?

Anco winter blades all the way. Overall they wipe great on my truck, miss a little on the corners but it doesnt matter to me. Regular blades always freeze up on me. I had Bosch Icons on my truck in the summer (best blade I've ever used), but they sucked imo once it started snowing. They constantly froze up on me.

I cannot speak for others.....

But I like my plow truck to be as featureless as possible.....

Less to go wrong.....

And the truck is usually so warm I have the window down.....

Snow and ice on the windshield is not an issue untill I have to clean it off after it sits in the yard..

I use the winter ones and so far they are better than the ones that were on my truck when I bought it.
