How old is the plow? How long have you had it? The original Smarthitch required you to flip a single pole switch(i think), then go back to the cab to use the cab control to raise the tower. You didn't control it from the side of the tower. It wasn't standard, I dont think particularly popular, and was basically more work than just pushing the tower up by hand

Got it. Makes sense now. The directions say raise with the switch but it doesn't do anything
I've done it manually because I didn't figure it out and gave up
I'm assuming you just purchased this?
Based on that sticker, you should have the 6 spade double momentary switch. Someone must have changed it at some point for whatever reason if you definitely only have a two wire switch there

I got it from a buddy who has several of them in his fleet. Took off my Ford and just installed on my new truck. Had the same problem so I looked at the wiring diagram and it didn't make sense. Still haven't found a 2 wire diagram for a older version so that's why I went on this forum. To answer your question I've had for 2years now and got it used so yea maybe someone mcgivered it?

Gotcha - yes, the pump diagram shows its for a smarthitch 1, not a smarthitch 2. So you would flip that switch, then operate the control inside to lift the tower. Then go back and flip the switch again. Which is a PITA. Pushing up the tower is probably less work as I mentioned earlier
