motor gauge wire size?

seems what my wife has read its around 4 gauge wire. seems kinda small to me. i was going to go with 2 gauge.

just wanted to get your opinions

4 gauge is good for 135 amps continuous current so it is fine for a plow motor. Of course 2 gauge is better as you will have less voltage loss and it is rated for about 180 amps continous but it is stiffer and of course more money. Original Western cables are 4 gauge.

The wire itself is only 10 bucks for 8 foot. but i have connectors for bigger guages. perhaps i will take the connectors back and get 4 guage.
