I believe there is another difference with the MM2. I went from a 7 1/2' MM to an 8' MM2, so it may be due to size, but the dealer did claim it was new to all. There is a much taller pin and a-frame at the pivot point between a-frame and plow making the whole assembly sturdier.

Using both, I still don't like the extra time for the lift, after the spring collapses the cylinder fully. It is time AND battery power. I am not convinced there is not issue with my setup though, since others have reported shorter lift times. But this should not be the reason not to buy it, just unhook the spring. Best of both worlds!

Without a doubt, the MM2 is easier to mount and unmount. I used to forget (anyone else do this?) to push up on the headgear while inserting or removing pins. The MM2 gives you nicer spot to push on and with your other hand, you pull the lever, and both pins come out. With the MM1 it always seemed like my arms were in the wrong spots, and I was always a second away from using the light to push on and breaking it off.

Ed is right about the center pin brackets, much bigger and stronger, the blade also has more ribs behind it and our 7.5 blade is 3" taller than my MM1 blade,i would certainly buy another.

What? Fisher is already making MM3? Where did you see it, and do you have a picture of it? When is Fisher expecting to release it?
The MM3 is slated for a release date of April 1st.

I have 3 MM1's and one old Struggle mount. I would buy the MM2 if given the choice. THe first thing I would do is remove the offensive spring that nobody seems to like. Its a simple procedure that would take 2 minutes. I do like the sound of that MM3 and will wait anxiously for that one to come out

That's only a month and half away.I looked on fishers site but there was no info on it.What is different on the MM3 compared to the MM2or 1

Looks great, The ford aic, does that come installed from the factory or did you do it? What did you decide on the MM1 or MM2? I sub for a contractor and we plow large comerical lots, and I think a v-plow would work pretty well because I always seem to find my self going after that little bit of snow, and no matter what you do you cant seem to get it.

The AIC was bought from the dealer. Comes with mounting bracket, and just plugs in to a connector under the dash. We went with the MM2 due to all the advice here. Truck wasn't ready today, should be tomorrow. I'll post pictures.

Finally got the new truck. I am really impressed with the MM2. All the things I was swearing at with the MM have been addressed. Its a pleasure to mount and dismount the plow. Now its a real "Minute Mount" not a "10 Minute Mount". Everything about it seems beefed up. I'll try and post some pictures soon.:waving:

Are the MM2 mounts available with the V-Plows yet? When I was shopping for my plow last year they weren't... I liked the looks of the MM2 but really wanted the V-Plow so that's what I got. Maybe the next time I wil be able to get both.
