Well......It looks another plowing season has come and gone. I had a super year this year. Now that I am now trying to clean up account balances, I had a plow customer of mine approach me the last storm and ask me about my property managment business. He lives out of state and does not have the time to run up here all the time. He wants me to supervise/oversee some projects that he is going to have going on this spring and summer. The problem I am trying to figure out is what to charge him for a service call and any additonal labor/time I am going to have into supervising/overseeing the projects. I currently have a flat fee for when I go check a home for heat/security check and I chagre $30 per visit. Now with the price of fuel going through the roof I am now in a bit of a crossroads. I am thinking about doing the following:
$40.00 - Serivce Call & 1 Hours worth Labor
$25.00 - Per hour for any additional Labor on top of the miniumum
Does any one have any suggestions/questions/comments? I am trying to be fair with my customer and yet I dont want to be loosing money on my labor and vehicle usage.
Thank You!
