    thanks, what you cant see is the 2 inch plate on top and bottom of frame rails and the same done on the inside of the rails thats done on the outside.

    I'm going to agree with NBI, and I'm glad you have a sense of humor about it. What kind of welder do you have? I'm in the market, and it will be my first but I want to be able to make good welds when it counts. not to steal your thread. BTW Goldpro, I was under the impression that your generation Chevy didn't have hydro-form steal frames? Reguardless Good work honestly? how did you know it broke?

    That looks good, what'd you use to clean the frame up before you welded the plates on?

    not true...i am a die hard ford man but i have seen one ford superduty with a cracked frame at the auction.... it was a 2001 F-550 that was owned by a town in new hampshire it had a 11ft municiple plow with a 10ft wing and it was a salt shaka so no surprise why it rotted and cracked but it did crack non the less lol it sold for $15,000 and no reverse :mechanic: i had pics but lost em when my phone with thru the leaf sucka
