    Use him as a subcontractor.

    But make sure you have him sign a non-complete clause.

    Then give him your accounts and sit back and make money doing nothing.

    Ask if he's got insurance, a truck, etc etc. Or better yet have your wife/girlfriend so he believes it more when you ask all the questions. Or say you'd like to meet him then "forget" to salt your driveway, so he slips and falls....
