Would you as a contractor ever pay for a subs Plow?

As the title states, my local dealer gave me a good idea. Also was curious to see if anyone has ever paid to have a new or used plow mounted to a subs truck and have them work off the cost? Seems like a good idea to me if a new guy couldn't afford to choke down a lot of money immediately. Anyone ever done this before?

    And if he quits?

    Or a low snow year

Or is his truck is totaled or stolen?

Why should you earn the risk when their is other ways of financing available

What would stop the sub from getting the plow and then running away?
Question, why would you/anyone hire a sub without a plow?

Depends on the sub and you're relationship with them

And yeah there's about 100 other variables

I have leased the use of my equipment to subs, still do. But all my subs have been friends since jr. high too.

Why does this "contractor" need you to buy a plow for them?
    Are you a loan office?

I mean if it were your Brother or life long friend then maybe I'd work something out but even then. I've hired friends who mean well but a lot of them have fizzled out just like the rest.

As long as there is a written contract to protect you why not.

Wasn't a big company out of chicago paying for plows or was it repairs to plows they would fix?

Arctic has rebuild my WO twice. And will supply free labor to repair sub's plows and parts if their on the truck.

Tovar is supplying salters this year to subs. They need to be returned end of season.

That's all I can think of.
