I have a 97 F-350 that was dropping voltage bad when raising or moving the plow. I tried putting an additional ground strap from the battery to the frame & that was worse. When I tried moving the plow all the gauges would go ballistic & the warning lights would come on as well as killing the engine. I took the extra strap off & it is back to normal. Does anyone have an idea why this would be happening. :gunsfiring:

Put a meter on the battery at idle, should read around 14.5 volts. This will tell you if your alternator is charging.
