does anyone know the story of why you can’t mount a new plow on a mistu fuso FG anymore?

The front sector of,the frame was rumored to be insufficient in strength to survive plowing snow. My fuso is 2wd, and I've been under there since 07 when I bought it new. It doesn't appear to be sturdy enough to last.

Mitsubishi changed their frame design to a universal frame shortly after I bought mine. I also in Isuzu class 8 box,trucks went to this universal design. Visualize Swiss cheese, and you know what the main rails look like. It allows for a multitude of different variations, by adding different crossmembers.

A well equipped plow supplier will make you a truck side mount from scratch. You'll have to,accept liability for possible frame failures though.

I’ve ran multiple FE models from the early 2000s and an FG... you’re saying the newer frames are weaker?

Why can’t you mount a new plow on an older pre Swiss cheese fuso?

Wasn't aware there wasn't anymore.

I'm guessing lack of demand.

Yea...
That's what I did years ago with the FEs

We install all our own plows anyway - but they currently go on trucks that the plows are "meant for"
