I am looking at getting a 48in whelen edge strobe bar. I was wondering in real life how bad is the draw in a running plow truck with light bar on? I know plows draw lots of power when moving them. Would the added draw of a full loaded edge running all light on, would a stock Alternator on a 2500 non plow prep be able to keep up?

It would be a strobe bar. I am kind of a sucker for the old school strobe bars. I know led is the way to go now, but cant justify the price they want for them.
Well in that case, I would not run heat /blower on "high" all the time etc,, but as long as your truck is "running" you still should be good.
