I am looking at 2 trucks "big differences". 1) a 1996 F350 XLT reg. cab 8' bed PSD 82,000 miles mint cond. plowed 2X guy put plow on in the fall "older MM1" 2) 2000 F250 x-cab short bed XLT 46,000 miles never plowed 5.4L I can get the 2000 for about $2000.00 more then the 1996. I really like the older body style but 4 years newer and less mileage. What do you guys think?

Personally, I would go with the the 1996 if they were both in the same condition. 82,000 miles on a PSD is nothing, hardly broken in. It already has a plow. By the time you add the plow to the newer one the $2,000 more turns more like into $5-6,000 more. I personally would be much happier with a regular cab 8' foot bed than a short bed and extended cab. I also just love the older body style. So, I would look into both of them. There might be a reason why a 4 year newer truck with half the miles is only $2,000 more!

    I wouldnt get either, I'd look for a 1999+ with the 7.3.

but if i had to choose between those two, I would get the 2000.

Have you checked out my 99 PSD I have for sale in the classified section? I would go with the PSD, you won't regret it!
