I will try to explain this the best I can. I have a western v plow that came off a 1999 chevy 3500. It is the older style mount. I currently have a 2004 gmc 2500 I would like to mount it on. Will it fit? To throw a curve ball into things I am thinking of trading my 2004 for a 2008 Chevy 2500. Will it be compatible with the 08? If not what will it cost me to make it compatible?

Could easily spend $1500 to get it on either of the newer trucks. The old body style mount won't fit either the '04 or '08 without major fabrication and there's a very likely chance much of the wiring won't either depending on which system you have.

Thanks for the help guys. It sucks that mounts are so expensive.
