i have a 98 chevy 1500 with a western unimount mount. I currently do not have a blade. What im wondering is would a poly plow be worth spending the extra money to save a little wear and tear on the truck. I dont want to go any bigger than a 7'6". Just tossin around the idea. The truck is only a half ton, would that lighter of a blade be worth it or not. Also how does that size truck handle ok for plowing res. drives and small strip malls?

Poly's are generally heavier, not lighter than their steel counterpart. But a 7.6 steel or poly would be a good fit regardless.
