2003 bobcat S300, Joystick controls, 2 speed, foam filled tires, bob-tact, 810 hours. I am looking at this machine and am very serious about purchasing it. I have looked at several other machines that are comparable but would appreciate any thoughts and or comments.
Thanks in advance

can u get a pic of this machine i have been working with heavy equipment for 10 years so i know a thing or two
I will get a picture on Wednesday and post it. The machine is inside a locked gate and they will be closed till then. I think I can pick this up for $20,000, The machine looks really good except one of the wheels is a slightly differant color. Every thing works. This machine was a rental from the bobcat dealer and comes with all service records and a 30 day warrentee.

Sounds almost idenitcal to the machine I run, Only I have about 1000 now. Only thing I had replaced at about 800 was the tilt actuator. Other then that just looking at some new tires soon, and everything works just fine.

One thing we were told over and over was after running the machine wide open let it idle for a few mins to cool it down. That turbo can get well worked and needs time to cool off.

Check out trader.ca you should be able to find a comparison but that sounds like a good deal. If its from a bobcat dealer you might not get them to lower the price but they might offer you 0% finiancing. Depends on their numbers, or get them to throw in forks, or another set of tires. Goodluck

they were asking 24.500 for it. we are still bickering on price but the way things are going I think I can get it for 20,000. Thanks for the advice on letting her cool down I'm pretty sure you can only get 0% on a new machine. I should know tomorow, Hope I con make it work.

$20,000 for a 2003 is alot of money..........IMO
are you saying that this is a lot of money for this machine taking into consideration the options, hours, and other info that I posted, or is it your oppinon that this is a lot of money just based on the year of machine it is. Also could you tell me how much experiance you have with these machines. I did ask for everyones oppinion and do appreciate your response. If you can convince me it it to much money maybe I will look at other options. Also I have been looking at these machines for about 6 months and this machine with hours and options seems like a good price.
Thanks again for your response

You will love that machine if you go for it. Look at those service records and see what they say if you can. Make sure there is not some reoccuring code or something. If they wont budge on the price then start getting things throw in. Forks, extended warranty, whatever you can think of. Its a numbers game, sometimes they cant do better on the price but they can lose on something else, like that used blower someone traded in or that snow plow. Ask them if they want to sell if before 2008 or if its cheaper when its even older because it will be a 2008. LOL Never be in a hurry to buy anything, it has always paid to wait for me. If you know its been there for a while, that means no one has pulled the trigger yet and they will get frustrated holding onto it soon. I have never been concerened with the year of equip just how many hours on it and the options. I wish I had 2 speed but when I ordered new they made a mistake and I took their discount to take the machine they got in rather then re order. It was a good discount at the time because of the mistake.

They are at 23,000 and I am at 20,000. Still trying to get something extra. I am not in any hurry to buy this machine. I would like to have it as I think it is worth the money. In a couple of weeks if they haven't came down or sold it I will be able to lay cash on the table. This might make the difference. Meanwhile I will still be looking, Really don't need a new machine before spring so I have some time. Thanks again for all the replies.
