What do you bring with you when plowing...

    Ok Folks,
    I want to know what you will not leave home with when you head out to plow. Jumper Cables, Tow Rope, stuff like that.

    All trucks have These basics onboard from the day they are put into service

    Tire gauge
    Jumper cables
    Tow strap
    Wheel chocks
    Leather gloves
    Window scraper
    2 cyl oil
    Engine oil
    Underseat tool kit

    These items are put in during plowing season

    Square blade shovel
    Plow oil
    Bottle of windshield washer fluid
    Extra knit hat
    Extra winter gloves

    Emergency parts kit, hydraulic fluid, windshield washer fluid, a tool box filled with many tools, ice melt, warm clothes, blankets, a long rope, two long chains, jumper cables, snow brush and ice scraper, shovels, ice choppers, cell phone, maps of the area iam plowing in always help if someone calls me to plow their drive while iam on the road, small battery powered pump for tires, antifreeze, flashlight, tire iron, jack, full size spare tire, tire chains that i had laying around i doubt ill ever use the tire chains though.

    i carry the following

    tool box with all my plow stuff i carry a pair of everything
    emergency bag with flares first aid kit extra clothes
    under the rear seat i carry hrydraulic oil and a 10,000 tow strap.
    magflashlight ice scraper,washer fluid.

    up front my cd collection some cigars :drinkup:

    we carry every thing above plus extra hydraulic hoses, flares, and a portable coffee maker, ( there's days we don't sleep for 24-48hrs)

    ALso ...don't forget extra contracts and receipt book...cell phone power cord...thermos of hot chocolate....camera...candy bars and bottled water!

    Parts kit, jumper cables,extra clothes
    gallon of water
    2 qrts motor oil
    2 qrts hydro oil
    1 jug of washer fluid
    2 tool boxes
    cigar for the end of the day
    cell phone
    paper work (toilet paper) never know when the need arises
    contracts,pens etc
    and one jumper to clean the walkways...

    the basic emergency kit

    there ya go, besides all the tools ya need out plowing ya got to have these!
    but remember to turn down the radio when plowing! listen to the plow it will tell you things as you plow.. hopefully before you break something thats under the snow...

    jumper cables, hi-lift jack, enough tools to disassemble a car if need be, 2 gallons of plow oil, gallon of ATF & a gallon of 10-30, 1 large meyer motor, one small meyer motor e-47 gear pump, 2 of each: A, B, C Valves, 4 solenoids, 2 60" battery cables, meyer slick stick wiring harness, slick stick, meyer toggle switches, 4 trip springs, 4 eyebolts, 4 sets of guides, 2 NCLS deflectors (8' & 10' are pretty universal) 2 strobe lights, 2 rotator lights, and about 500# of salt&calcium chloride

    I fit all of that into a dodge durango, LOL pumpkin:
