I picked up a commercial lot yesterday and they want the lot treated when we get Ice/Freezing rain. I have a Buyers Tailgate spread on my truck but I dont know what kind of ice melt to use. I've never had/used a buyers tailgate spreader and I want to make sure Im using the right material in it. Ive searched this site and have seen many post on what people like to use, but they were mostly for full size Bed spreaders or were for people who use Bulk material not bags. I have 20 clients but this is th only commercial that wants/Needs the ice taken care of (My other commercial lot is a graval lot that doesnt need it).

So what should I use?

Thanks

I use Morton Halite Ice Melter. This works great in my spreader and it will melt down real good. You can also use Cargill halite

Any DRY bagged ice melt works great. You might want to mix some kitty litter in it so people don't slip.
