western plow question conversion

    Has anyone ever had a plow converted from a two plug to a three plug ?

    Yea You can do it. Just need to buy the wiring harnesses

    It's relatively easy but not cheap. You need to replace the plow light / control harness with two separate harnesses. The motor power cable remains. On the truck you can leave the motor relay and the motor power control cable but everything else goes but the controller. The headlight harness has to come out and then finally the control harness which goes to three points. The cab, the motor relay and the grill.

    One issue I don't like about doing this is that the plow headlight cable provided will be too short to tie down to the uni upper lift frame. it's quite difficult to transplant the wires from the old rectangular headlight too.

    The bad part is the cost but the advantage is the reliability.
