Weird sightings while plowing

A thread I saw on lawn site gave me this idea. What is the strangest thing that you've seen while plowing?
Mine was a month ago, while plowing a town house complex with my bobcat. I was doing my thing, and a girl opens the curtains on one unit and smiles at me. She was about 19 or so. I smile back, and continue doing my thing. The next time I look up, she flashes me. I didn't know exactly how to react, so I just smiled and nodded. A half hour later, I am done the complex, and on my way to the next site, when she comes running out and say "I have a very strange thing to ask you". I asked what it was, and she told me to follow he. I stand in the entry way of the townhouse, and there are two other girls sitting on the couch in pajamas. Now I am wondering what is going on, and was thinking there might be some proposition coming on here. The girl then asked if she could take a pic of baby sister sitting in the bobcat. I said sure go ahead. She took the pic and said thanks. It was probably one of the more unusual things to happen to me while plowing.

Any one else got a story?

This isn't really a weird sighting, but I think it sorta fits in.

Is it just me, or does every single person shoveling their driveway give a truck with a snow plow a dirty blank stare.
Its as if they expect us to do their driveway for free. I almost feel like stopping and saying, "all you have to do is ask, and pay"

I plow my mechanics lot which is down the street from a bar. There have been nights when I was plowing, and guys are so drunk, they are literally stumbling down the road, completely smashed. I don't know if it's weird, but it is funny. Just have to watch out for them as they stumble by. Mike

This one was really wierd for me. I unintentionally skipped plowing this lady's driveway the first two times this year - (seasonal contract). Anyways I wrote her a nice little letter and I was going to stuff it in her door the next time I plowed. The next snowfall I run through my route and I get to her driveway at like 2:30 AM. I always plow in my socks since my feet sweat like crazy otherwise. I thought there was no one around so slip on one boot and go hopping up to her front door. I open the screen door and I am about to shut the envelope in the door when the door behind it opens. There stands this 80 year old lady in her pink nightgown and the radio antenna style curlers in her hair. I said O sorry to wake you up. She said No problem I was just going to bed. So I hand her the letter and say Well good night. I didn't want to go hopping back to my truck in front of her so I just shuffled sideways a bit and then I'm like O well screw it and I started hopping back. She is like O what happened to your foot in a very shrill voice. O nothin I just always plow in my socks. So I get back to my truck and I look back and she is still standing there with the door wide open.

    The "LOOK"

Thats funny. That blank look that you get from people shoveling. They have that "Either help me or $crew off" haha
    Thats SO true.

I don't remember seeing anything really weird, but I did see a cop sleeping in his car once with the window open and the police radio real loud.

Here's a laugh for you guys... I was leaving my apartment Christmas morning to touch up my route (about a seven inch snow here in St. Louis Christmas Eve) and saw an oriental woman doing wierd stuff in front of her car that was backed into it's space. I stopped after I passed her, and watched her in my mirrors in absolute disbelief.

She had a blue beach sand pail, and a teeny tiny shovel - the stuff you build sand castles with at the beach. She would fill the pail, then dump it at the back of her car, then repeat. She wasn't plowed in or anything, and the lot hadn't been touched.

I backed up, rolled down the window, and said "It's none of my business Ma'am, but what the he** are you doing???". She pointed at the blade, then at the snow in front of her car. I cleared her a path, and laughed the rest of the day on that one! From her broken english and accent, I guess she had never seen snow before... God only knows how she drove in it.. I sure didn't stay in the area long enough to find out! Wanted my truck to be way far away from that danger! Shoulda hired her to do sidewalks for me.

My self and a guy I was plowing with go pulling into this doctor's office parking lot about 1:00 A.M. He pulls in first drops the blade and goes, I follow right after him drop my blade and go. we come up to the building he splits right and I go down the left side we come around the back as we turn the corner of the building both our headlights are aiming right at a truck that's parked back there... you should have seen the size of their eyes as this guy and girl pop up wondering what in the world is going on with all these lights and noise. Never seen two people get dressed faster and pulled out of there like their butts were on fire.

I come across this car with its tail lights going like the flashers were on or someone is stepping on the brakes.

So I pull over, Thinking someone needs help....
I walk up to the car with my mag lite in one hand ( just in case there was any trouble)

well to make a long story short the drivers seat is fully reclined, drivers is on his back and this very pretty woman is naked and well you know.........................

Dont think the guy needed any help at all :D:salute:

    Weird Story

Here is something weird.....We were out on X-mas day, we have a couple of Dunkin Donuts on our route. Now I know they were closed on x-mas eve, and x-mas day. So we pull in and drop our blades get across the lot when my buddy nextels me and says "Is it me or do you all the sudden smell fresh donuts"? There parking lot must have had sugar-coated snow cuz it smelled like someone was makin the donuts. And the more we cleared the more intense the smell got! The worse part was that they were closed so we couldnt satisfy our cravings.:(
    O well onto the next.........

Man guys, you have some funnny a** stories! Whats with all the boob's and naked ladies?:p Well, the only strange things I came across is once, I have seen at one of my accounts last year,
there was a big snow drift, I was plowing the back of the church,
I was done cleaning the lot, I left and was on my way to the front when I saw some kids in there mini-van with a snow board kid getting pulled by the van holding on to a rope attached to the rear of the van. The van was pulling the snowboard kid so he could fly off the huge snow drift. Was kind of cool though!
For as long as I have been plowing, never seen any hookers or nude woman "YET". Well, keep the stoires comin!

I don't know if these qualify, but lightening during a heavy snow is one thing I have only seen twice. One of those times was the blizzard of 96. We got 30" + in less than 24 hours. During that same storm, I was gassing up at a local station, and I heard a roar coming, I looked over, and saw the largest loader I have ever seen in my life (up close and personal) driving down the center of the road, nearly taking up the whole road. The operator in the cab looked like a little speck. He just smiled and waved as he went by. No kidding, he could have picked up my 80 GMC K/20 broadside in the bucket no problem with room to spare. I have no idea what make of machine or what model it was, it was just HUGE. It was also painted O.D. green so I am assuming it was a National Guard or military machine. No trucks escorting it, just cruising down the road all alone.

That lightning stuff is pretty cool.Only seen it once or twice myself.During the big Jan 99 storm,we had some very low level sheet lightning.Seemed as if it was only a few hundred feet up,and it was so bright, with the reflections off all the fresh white snow,it would almost blind you.Pretty freaky. The thunder was so loud it hurt your ears.

Snowboarding off a car is a pastime of kids around here. Thay take a waterski rope and away they go. Sometimes the snowboard gets swapped for a tube. Heck I even did it as a kid. Pretty cool then. Now when I look back, not a very smart or safe thing to have done.

One of the best times I've had plowing was with a friend of mine. We were finishing up an apartment complex and had been plowing for well over a day.....was a big snow few years back.

Anyway, we came across a basketball in a parking spot so I backdragged it a bit then scooted it to my buddy (kipcom). From there the madness started! We must have goofed around scooting this ball back and forth for an hour...all through the apartment complex as we plowed! It was fun. I'm surprised we didn't run into anything..or each other!

One of those "you had to be there" stories!
