I was at my local dealer the other day talking plows, he mentioned a guy that brought in a old western supposing a sucessful/wise purchase ..

Until after futher examination the installer shares all they bought was a blade(PAID$500)
He shared they needed a sub frame $450,controller $450 new pump, motor followed by wires and labor etc payup .... He thought he got something while spending only $500 by the time, all was said and done he spent over $3,000 total (with blade)..

Well, the guy couldn't be too bright. He spent $2,500 on parts and labor to put an old blade on this truck. And it sounds like the dealer is a little shady. At $3000, he wasn't too far from a new plow & warranty.

I would hope he walked away, or the dealer was kind enough and gently to tell him he just got screwed!!

Truth be told the plow was stolen that's why it didnt have the extras !

He obviously wasn't top of the class, but I guess he rather pay 3k for used then pay an extra
thousand and get something new ...
I'm amazed noobs can be so illinformed, the dealer only did what was requested to each their own...:salute:

we've had the same thing happen at work. but once we figure out what all is needed we call them tell'em whats up and let them make the choices.

the last one spent $1k on a used plow/undercarrage. then spent another $2k + in work and the plow was beat to ****. but what the customer wants the customer gets.
