This is my first elec/hydro operated plow, so forgive my ignorance. My volt meter in the dash cluster goes down for a second and comes back up when I operate my plow. It does it the most when I raise the plow. I assume raising it takes more power. Is this normal?

I'm running my plow off the passenger side battery. I have two batteries obviously and I was wondering if I should use both batteries by getting power from one and grounding on the other. Any thoughts?

there is a thread over in the dodge truck section talking about voltage drops, you may want to check it out and chime in with how your batteries are setup.

Yes it's normal to see voltage drop when raising the plow.
