Valve cover gasket replacement

    The valve cover gaskets on my 98 K3500 with the 7.4L need to be replaced. Does the EGR valve and throttle body have to be removed to get the upper bolts out that are under them? My service manual doesn't say to but I can't seem to find a way to get to them. Is there some trick to it?
