I'm looking to up grade our v-box and want to put it on a truck that needs to pull a trailer. The truck is an 04 2500HD is their a v-box i could put in the bed that would still allow me to use the hitch.
Thanks
some of the poly boxes like , western, fisher, meyer but they are single motor electric. a real nice one that i hope to have soon is a smith spreader. it will swing up and uses 2 electric motors and is 304 stainless http://www.smithspreaders.com/Spreaders/SeriesIV/index.php
Snow Ex will do the same. We have one in our F450 utility truck. Pull the pin, unplug one plug and spinner housig comes off. Can tow a trailer all day.
I have an older SnowEx 8000 and that is all you need to do is unplug it and pull the pin ant the spinner comes right off. That is one of the nice things about the spreader. Can't say there is much else. LOL
We have a downeaster on our international 4600, it had a swing away chute, though I have never been able to get it to swing we always just remove it, it is easy enough , 2 pins and and a slip yoke for the shaft.
