I took my headgear off for the summer. It looked like there was Loctite on the threads. Is this recommended for re-assembly and which kind should I use?

You could. Anything would be ok. I however wouldn't recommend red, unless you never plan in removing then

Loctite is great, but only use red if you arenot taking it apart agian. Blue number 242 is what you want.
