    newbie questions.....
Going to look at a used western uni-mount. supposedly has everything but the truck mount.. looking to put it on my 95 wrangler...what should look for when going to see the plow? is there anyway to test with a battery or jumper box? how much would a truck mount be?

It all depends. You want to look for anything bent, or sever pitting on either rams and lift cylinder. Also look at the shape of it overall. Is it rusting so bad that it flakes? Hows the cutting edge? You could jump the motor with cables but it wont tell you much. If the current owner has a unimount frame and harness on their vehicle, ask them to hook it up so you can check everything. The way it moves, the lights etc. also watch out for worn parts like the pivot areas.
