I know the unimount plow frames are not made anymore however i have a guy that has a new frame (63360) that lists for a 02 gmc 3/4 ton and he says it should fit my 07 gmc 3/4 ton any thoughts as to if this is true. would be nice not to have to buy adapters

the only thing you might run into if it is the new body style, is that the front end is longer. I know they adjusted the Ultra mount froms to make them longer for the 03 and up 2500's. I have been doing research for my 07 NBS. Good luck let us know if it works for you. I would love to just buy a unimount frame for mine.

I dont know yet as I havent picked up the truck from the dealer.bought last Monday and havent had time to get there, Work tooo busy. But did buy the frame the plow guy said it will work new style and old style 07' frame. it is an 1999 & newer unimount 63360 02'-06' gmc 2500 He says truck frame is exactly the same on the 07' new or old , I have the newer 07' I will post my results. If it fits the frame, I am gold, I have no problem bringing it out a few inches if the nose is a little longer or whatever or having to notch the lower bumper etc for the UNIMOUNT . I have no problem with wiring the old harness in for the plow as if you look a schematics it is pretty simple. I will post results and pics by sunday for all that are interested thanks again for all info here. Usually I dont just jump in on forums and ask questions aroung first post I like to lurk around a few months but this is a situation that need to be resolved pretty quick if you know what I mean. picking up truck tomorrow attempting to put frame on tomorrow nite after work will keep posted. Again thanks. Pan

I found a lot of western dealers would not even work for you they wanted to sell you a new ultraplow $4500 or said to convert uni to ultra $1700 to $2200 with my old plow. Yeah rite! Talk about rape! I will let you guys let know how it works I think I will make it work pics will follow.

OK got the mount on had to do some modification as cutting the ears down on the top where it surrounds the frame as the bumper mounts on the new style are about 3/8 inch lower after much sawzalling torching and grinding and welding I have it on. well really not all that much modifying but enough to fit and try about 10 times. Have on now however you will have to really chop the lower valence to get it to work I am going to continue choping til it mounts smooth then I will get a new valance and figure a way to cut less I think if you cut the handles off the link that holds the light bar and cut the outer end off the side with the spring, like when they first came out with just the link no handle or outer support by spring side it will fit much better I think, I have to experiment, I will post pics this week. Also looks like I will have to crank up torsion bars to get some height will see. Also the entire frame fits behind stock valance so mabye a choped one for plowing season and a new regular untouched one for other months is a possibility. It was just like sticking an Ice pick in my ear to have to take a sawzall to a $35,000 truck with 75 miles on it but what you gonna do? Use unimount that I have or buy ultra for a mere $4800. I'll deal with the chopping. Anyone else done this mod please let me know your results thanks By the way I forgot to mention this is not a clasic it is the new style, sorry I should have mentioned it in first post.
