Unimount/Ford problem

    We changed the grill connectors/ 9 pin plugs on our 1988 Ford 350 soldered all connections, shrink tape etc. Motor runs no Hydraulics or Lights, we cleaned all connections/terminals at the battery,solenoids and on plow drained and replaced fluid and bled the Hyd. system.
    I'm thinking it must be something in the truck's wiring. Has anyone had a similar situation with older Fords or any other ideas or suggestions.

    I have another question about an altenator, which amperage would be good one to run?

    Sounds like you missed a ground wire someplace. If you took wires off the plow motor check to make sure you put the orange/black wire on the ground. Otherwise you need to get a test light out and work from the truck side grill connector. Check for ground at pin #5.

    Problem solved poor ground

    Yeah it was a ground the local Western dealer said it was a "P"-poor design on Western's part. Ran a ground wire from the ground post on the motor to the plow frame everything works except the plow turn signals.
