I've had to use a dealer in West Allis Milwaukee quite a bit this year. I've bought a spinner motor, an auger motor (updated version) and now the auger cover B/C I accidently melted mine getting it too close to my garage heater).
The dealer is Snow Plow Solutions off of Hwy 100.
I ordered the cover over the phone at which time I was quoted $54. I waited 5 days for the cover to come in. I go to get it (an hours drive for me) and the "person" at the counter charged me $78. I wrote down the price when I ordered it @ my desk so, I know its NOT My mistake!
I feel they should have honored the price quoted and was the victim of the ol bait & switch game.
Sure, I could have let them keep it but, I've already waited long enough for the part to come in and my time/fuel to drive & get it.
I offered to split the difference in THEIR ERROR but to no success.
I also noticed in big & bold signs that they no longer accept returns on any snowplow parts (even with receipts).
This IS NOT a parts dealer I would recommend to anyone.
Lets see, no returns on parts, expensive prices, unscrupulous business practices. For cheaper money u mite as well order online and keep these guys out of the biz!

I can not stand places like that. They know that you are in a bind and have you by the short hairs. I have been lucky with the people i have dealt with.

Try Ninneman truck and equipment, Just N of 7 mile rd off of I-94, its by far not the closest place to our shop, but they treat their customers well there.

does anyone know of the cheapest and (in their opinion) the best and most reliable place in southern wisconsin to get a plow hooked up? im going to order from equipment specialist, they had the "QTE" price for the boss v- xt 8' 2" plow beat by over 500. i plan on using whichever place i decide on for the entire time im going to do this, so anything would be very much appreciated. i thank all of you who have posted their good and bad experiences-i will avoid the bad, and eventually maybe them mistreating even 1 plowsite member will result in the failure of their business, like the 1st post-those guys shouldnt be in business if they have no concern and respect for their customers, or are incompetant!!!it seems that its getting harder to find people that know how to do their jobs, eh?

IMO We've found the best deals and service at Ninneman Truck and Equipment in Caledonia, however Truck Outfitters in Butler is another dealer that we use from time to time for purchases and service. Truck Outfitters is open 24 hours any time there is a snow emergency declared, which is nice to have as back up in case you dont have the right spare parts on hand.

Maybe they had to many people buying what they might need in a storm then returning it afterward if not used. Stops guys from buying a bunch of emergency repair parts in September and returning them in May. We don't take returns on snowplow parts either. They are mostly either electric or hydraulic and most everybody considers them non-returnable items.

What did you try to return?
