trip spring specifics??

    does anyone know what the specifics are for a trip spring? Like how many lbs of force are required to stretch them? Can you put stronger springs in or should a person just add more.

    Trip springs are pretty much all the same as far as capacity goes.. but they do lose tension from age and use...if you feel they're tripping too easily you might want to replace the existing ones, and you can add an additional one..

    Btw, This wouldn't happen to be on an older Meyer St series blade would it?
