trans cooler?

    is there a trans cooler in a 05 dodge ram 2500. I am thinking this would be a good preventive maintance add on

    not sure if there is a cooler or not but i would get a tranny temp gauge so you can monitor the temp

    You can add a tranny cooler to pretty much anything. Don't let that that be the deciding factor in your next truck purchase.

    I've got two transmission coolers on mine and it's a 6 speed manuel.

    You can fallow your tranny lines you should find them on the passenger side of your radiator.
    There is a cooler/warmer in the raiditor.
    (yes,A warmer, in the winter months it tempers the fluid)
    If your truck is equipped with an Aux cooler it will be in front of the radiator but behind the heat sink for the A/C.

    If not you can easily add one.
