I have an 06 Chevy 2500HD 4X4. What are the best AT tire for snow? How about chains, when to use them and not? Thanks

The best tires are the ones you can afford. You are going to get a flooding of guys saying "blah blah blah, best tire ever." The truth is, a tire is only as good as the amount of tread on it. Tires with good tread are good, bald tires are bad.

CHAINS???? What are you planning on plowing?

You may want to do a search. This topic has been discussed so many times that some don't want to do all that typing. Maybe they copy and paste:) I read that one guy said that one brand has been great for ever, but they have changed the compound and now they aren't as good. So others are talking about the way it used to be, so to speak. A person that is really interested in this should go back a month or more and see all the posts about that very subject.
