I've seen a few vans around N.E Oiho with plows on them and they were newer Fords.

That would be a good deal for under $10k IMO.

I thought van frames weren't nearly as sturdy as a truck frame, but I may be wrong. The cab would be great for visibility, but that thing looks awkward to plow in.

Looks like a long plow rig but great for front view but back would be another thing

A guy that used to have a pretty big business around here used to run a couple red Ford E-450's with Meyer 9' steel blades and 10' v-boxes. Not sure what happened to the trucks when he sold his business to get into the excavating business in Texas. I actually like the look of those trucks but the only complaint I have is that the engine compartment is so tight from everything being packed under that hood.

Looks like he built the back cab/seat area out of 2x4's and insulated it with 1/2" foam board!

That thing looks pretty funny. No 4x4 would stink.

Its got a nice hoist but the body is a bit long. Put a couple yards of dirt in the back and the front wheels might come off the ground.

Back in the late 80's/early 90's there was an Econoline van (250 or 350) with either a custom 4x4 setup with locking hubs, or it was a van on a pickup frame, with an 8' Fisher. It was odd to look at, and the city was small enough that this "truck" was easy enough to spot during a storm.
