we average 9-10 mpg, but the truck is usually rolling down the road at 25,000 + lbs.
love the engine and truck though.
2011 F-550 4X4 4 dr with 11 ft mason dump body.
2013 F-550 4X4 4 dr with 11 ft enclosed reading utility body gets around 13 mpg loaded at 18,000 lbs
the new 2014 F-350 4X4 stretch cab pickup only has 1100 miles on it, but that is averaging 16 mph.
im on my 2nd f350 with the 6.7 first was a 2011 all stock that ate a motor, trans and 2 rears in 18 months i owned it. That truck was great when it ran but must have been built on a Friday or something because it was the definition of a lemon and ford ended up buying it back. i think a lot of the problems were dealer crreated with that truck because it was bought new on july of 2010 and non of the dealers knew anything about the new bodystyle or motor and they would fix one thing but break 3 more. With that said the replacement 2012 i got has been flawless and is now tuned and deleted at 38000 miles with noting but smiles. My dad and a few friends have 6.7s and besides a few def sencors they are also problem free. i hope to be ordering a 2016 f550 with a 6.7 in a few months so that should tell you im confident ford has it right this go around with great power on tap decent mpg and a truck that just runs problem free. As for mpg you can expect 9-12 mpg they dont seam to change much loaded vs unloaded its more of what gears your order it with 4.88 will keep you at 9-10 mpg 430 will net a little better and a gallon of def every 1000 miles give or take
Have almost 15k on my '13 and love the truck. Had a fuel rail sensor go bad and had the pH tested in the radiator, but other than that it's been perfect. Extremely happy with it!
I have a 2013 cc long box with about 10k on it and so far no problems. I had no complaints with my old truck 07 6.0 superduty but this thing does pull a lot better.
Mileage seems to be around 11-15 plowing and pulling my skid steer. Took in on a road trip when I got it and drove it to see what I could get and hand figured it out at 19.7. The truck didn't even have 500 miles when we left on the trip. However I set the cruise at 72 and was real easy on it. I wouldn't really expect to see 19 with it with everyday driving. All in all I love the truck.
have two.
truck 1 a 2011 crankshaft snapped at 10k miles replaced long block never seen a truck in 4000 parts before
since then a computer, wiring along frame fuel pump keys ignition and several other codes
truck 2 2013 a fuel pump at 10k miles other than that perfect.
mileage i average about 7-8mpg loaded or unloaded or towing best i got was 8.2
