Has anyone run bulk salt thru this spreader?

I ran about 8 yards through mine last season, it did fine. The trick is to find the dryest salt you can and place a grate on top while loading to keep the big chunks out, other wise it will cloge the bottom chute and you will be out trying to clear it half the night. The vibrator does a good job with helping as well, just keep it on.

I have ran about 60 tons through mine. Like 86 CJ, I built a screen for mine to catch clumps. I just bolted in four L brackets and laid some 3/4" #9 expanded metal on top.
