How do you get Super Glue off of black plastic with out ruining it or melting it?

I would think anything that takes super glue off would melt the plastic. You could try carefully razor blading the glue off. Maybe than mask off the area and shoot black paint on it. Use a Q-tip with solvent on it and see if you can just get most of the glue off. Soften it and scrape off with a blade. Use a black marker to hide the glue.

Normally super glue company's will make an de-bonding agent. You should be able either purchase it from an local hardware store or order it online.

Carb cleaner is just acetone. Its a great solvent, but DOES DISSOLVE certain plastics, notably plexiglass. You can try with various different solvents, like paint thinner, paint stripper, gasoline, acetone, etc., but first test it on the back of the plastic to make sure that it doesn't damage it in a place that will look ugly forever.
