I have a 1 ton dump body and I am planning to put either the linear strobe 500 or 700 series light heads in the back and side powered with the Whelen usp690. Which would be better?

The size that I have to work with is 3.25 X 7.25 in.

Does the 9000 edge lightbar have a sync wire?

The 700 series are just big enough to fit there, but it might be real close with the gasketing. The 500 series would fit with a comfortable amount of room around them.

The edge strobe bars do not have a sync wire.

I put some simple Sho-Me Micro-Lites on the rear and sides of my dump and they work great. Very inexpensive too.

Yes, I agree. You would be much better off using the the TIR6 LED's. No power supply needed, and 5 year warranty. Way brighter than the strobes!

I agree... Go LED instead of strobes.
