For those that didn't see my post up in the pic forum, I was talking with a guy I plow with the other day. His old Meyer has broke on him 3 times between this winter and last with welds breaking in different spots. I kind of jokingly told him that if he was interested I would sell mine. He seemed some what interested. Since I started plowing I've always kicked myself for not getting a V. We have several places that it would really be helpful in my opinion. Heck, even the guy I sub for said that he wishes he had got a V when he started. My question is would it be worth it for me to sell my 7 1/2ft with wings and try and find a good used V? Honestly, other then the local dealers and ebay/craigslist not sure where to look. I know that this is probably the wrong time to look for a blade. What is one worth on the used market? I saw one listed in Muscatine which isn't far from here for 3200. 8 1/2ft Ultramount V 2003 model. Is that normal price or is it to high? Also what is mine worth? I believe is 4 years old. Not positive but it does have the 50th anniversary sticker on the back of the blade. I just am not real sure and what to do now and where to go from this point. Any one have any suggestions or can offer me some help I'd appreciate it.

I just paid $4220 cash and carry in Buffalo. I wouldn't pay $3200 for a 4 year old one. Plus mine is the MVP Plus which allows you to put the wings on. You might get a good deal on a used one now. Most guys would think if they haven't sold it by now they will be stuck with it until next year.

Thats kind of what I was thinking. My next questions are what is a good used V plow worth? How about a used straight blade with wings?

I would much rather stick with the ultramount but will keep an eye on it.

If the plow was made for your truck and you didn't have to buy anything extra I would pay 1/2 to 2/3 of new. Parts are expensive and some guys can beat their plows pretty good. If you plow by yourself you need something very reliable.
