    any body change their sprockets and chain in tc 140 to get more torque. frozen salt jams auger cant get wet salt to flow through looking for a solution without getting rid of spreader.wesport

    The problem is more torque=more things breaking. Use should really say what kind of spreader you own. Even with our 8yard spreaders we have trouble with wet salt and as far as salt freezing if it's wet and cold and you don't spread it off soon enough it's going to freeze. Your best bet is to try and get dry salt and keep it as dry as possible, by tarping. JMO

    frzen salt is just something that comes with the teritorry, like JD said....keep the water out/off of it and you'll be much better off
