Sounds like a chain is wraped around the driveline when you start out. Bad vibration in the drive line. Some one told me to change out the U-joints and the Carrier bearing. Makes sense to me but what do I know??? Never done it before.

How tough is it to change these items out fellas?
Never been changed, 160K. Not sure if has ever been lubed.

Not a hard Job if I remember right the carrier bearing is just held on with two bolts. U Joints are easy to change just make sure you don't knock the end cap off of the new.If you do you will have a pile of needle bearings on the ground.
