For the 1st day of Spring, winter was back for a change. We got more snow than we have had in probably the last month. Which still isnt that much, but we ended up with about 4 inches of wet heavy snow for Sunday. I got my gf to take some pics while I was plowing. She was pretty click happy and used up the film on the first few passes, but heres what I got.

First, heres the scraper blade that I added. It scraped it right down to the bed of ice below the snow. BTW, I tried it on Saturday on the driveway downstate and it wasnt too soft, it did real well. It dug up the leaves I plowed over the original time I plowed it.

Now heres what Ive got from my driveway on Sunday. Everythings so white and its sunny out its kinda hard to make out some of the snow. If it was dirtier itd have been easier to see. I did get stuck at the end of the first push, after I got carried away pushing and pushed the snow too far over the existing bank and got hung up on the bank. Dug it out a little and laid down the floor mats and backed it right out. Thats only the second time thats happened since I built the plow. No problems the rest of the day, I made sure not to go too far into the existing banks.

It does take longer to clear a large area. But being just for personal use, its ok that it takes longer, it still gets the job done quite well. Its kinda neat when going through a deeper part of the snow and watching the snow roll off and above the blade. The pics show the upper half of the driveway, theres a turn and the other half that goes towards the camera and road. Then I move the Celebrity and plow its spot out too, and backdrag out the spot for the 6000 at the top, and push back a turnaround spot for it.

With the cost of gas, maybe he is on to something. Maybe I shouldn't have sold the cavalier?

I just plow my own driveway, and my daughters moms (once a week at the most). For what I use it for, I havent had anything I couldnt plow.

I do get 24 mpg highway with the blade on, and no temperature climb. Couldnt do that if Id have spent a bunch of money on a truck and truck plow to do the same thing. It works for me.
