I have a 2-stage walk behind snowblower and was wondering if the gear oil needs to be change once in a while or is it good or life. I have a fill/drain hole. I know some snow blowers do not have a fill/drain hole.

What type of gear oil should I put in?

I would use what the manufacturer recommends, if that info is unavailable, use 80/90W gear oil. I would get synthetic oil, it will last a long time. Just check it once a season and make sure it's topped off. ussmileyflag
