Should a light come on in 4whl

    05 2500hd when in 4x4 should a light or a symbol come on in dash? 4x4 works what gives?:confused:

    as far as i would guess,,,,yes it should.

    It depends on the trim level. There should be a light for trucks with the manual shifter on the floor. If it has the electric push button the light in the button should change to the button you pushed. On some electric models the dash light will also come on but not all.

    Does it feel like it's going into 4 wheel drive and not showing any lights, or no lights and no 4 wheel? Fuse?

    mines the same year and model with a shifter on the floor and the light is located in the upper left hand corner of the instrument cluster, my wifes is the same year but 1500 has electric push button and the light on the buttons light up when its in 4 but nothing on the cluster. Hope this helps
