    hi guys,
i have a 97 ram, 360 gas motor that sometimes screaches as the plow (meyer e60) is lifted while plowing...it actually sounds like the belt squealing but i don't understand how that could happen...any idea's?

Sounds like it is your alternator cooking. It takes a lot of amps to lift the blade. Your pump may have issues like a bad ground or poor fluid....or your alternator is nearing the end of it's life.

Check the belt!!! Remove the belt from the truck and spin all the pullys. One might be a little tight or the spring tension on the idler pully might be weak / siezed or broken. When the pump from the plow demands more energy the alt has to work harder and is much harder to turn. This causes the belt to slip.
