I'm looking to buy a sander this yr but its going in a 2500 chevy pickup and i would really like to keep my tool box in the back for spare plow parts / etc. What do you guys run in your trucks for sanders with the similar set up etc.? SnowEx is way to much money for their unit ! I would like a 6' but most sell 7'. i dont want a major hang over off the bumper, well more then what is suppose to be there for proper clearance. Any info would be a major help !!! Thanks !!!

In my opinion Torwel is the best choice-there design is simple, tried and true. They are built in Bellingham MA and are very popular in New England.

I have a HD2500 with a short bed crew cab and have gone in circles with the same question. Put a deposit on a meyer 600BL 1.5 yd gas and pulled it for a Snow Dogg 750 0.6yd due to advice on here concerning weight management and electric benefits(primarily noise in condo complex). still ran $3500 installed, but will spare the truck. Proper modification would have been to expensive with large units and anything in 1yd low profile was way to much $$. I didn't want to risk overdoing it. 2 runs for salt stinks, but it's only 5 malies away. Let me know what you end up doing.
