I just came back from dinner and visiting my parents. My Dad was excited for me because he heard we may get a biggie early next week. I hope so! Has anyone else heard reports of this? Pray for snow. One more big one and I'm in Schaeffer City.

Hey Chip...check out http://millenniumweather.com for the latest discussion on NE Winter Storms. The guy is already on to this one albeit a bit early. Great site.

I certainly hope you are right 01. This is a southern system and most of the forecasters south & east of Northern Pa are leaning toward the system heading out to sea without really impacting the North East. Many factors are currently present in the forecast models to support this, while there are only small chances of it developing into a coastal low & heading north. Let us keep those fingers crossed & do those snow dances!

That's the way it is looking! If this one hits I am glad I am not in the plowing biz! I'll have enough trouble keeping my own driveway cleared and playing of course.

If it does happen you'd better hit the Poconos & do a few runs for me!! I have not been able to escape yet.

This system looked like it had good potential, but in the last 24 hours the models have changed to showing it moving far off the coast before it gets up here.

Hey Alan..they also said that about the satorm back in '96 which dumped 30" or so on Philadelphia.

BRL...I have not gotten out myself yet and I do not see it happening this season again. Bummer...oh well...mountain biking at the ski areas is only 2 months away. ;)

The latest MRF run shows the high pressure ridge pushing the system out to sea before it can make its way up to your neck of the woods (which you said earlier). We'll have to see what happens in the next run. I'd bet that the NC/VA and DC
areas are in for some fun for sure. Anyway, things are slowing down for us out here, as we're getting stuck in the middle of the old split stream flow of the jet. Bummer.

You have a better chance with a dart board than a model forcast 4-5 days out.

Amen Dino.........I've covered the plow, got the snow blower & shovels burried in the back of the garage and I think I'll wash the truck. That should do it...........

Mark my plow has been on the truck since the last storm.I think I'll take it off today to guarantee something for next week.

I'ts gonna be in the 40's all next week how could we possibly have a big snow storm.

That should work Chip. Don't forget to wash the truck.

We've had a decent winter so far (for our area), but I think

we still got 2-3 plowable events before spring. If that

storm hits us, we may get that all in one storm. I'll be

doing the snow dance this week-end.

I also put away my shovels, etc. but I did it so that it will snow. If I leave everything ready for a storm we'll get nothing. If everything is put away we'll get snow!!!

Keep your fingers crossed, but it's too early to believe it.

    Don't beleive the hype!

Maybe not a big nor'easter, but...

Although it isn't a big storm (at least not yet) there's been a nice steady accumulation of powder for the last few hours now. Definitely going to be a "plowable event" up here (90 miles north of Toronto)

Gee, the MRF did a pretty good job picking up on the system we got back in December 10 days in advance. That's not too bad.

The weather channel just issued a special bulletin for s.e.Pa for Sun. afternoon through Mon. Night for heavy snow with accumulations in excess of 12". This has the potential to last until tuesday. Check your plows, blowers and fluid levels and get plenty of rest on Saturday.

Both the weather channel & local stations are all pretty much saying the say thing. Starting late Sunday nite and possibly snowing till Tues. Sure giving this one alot of hype. Guess I'll have to hang the plow back on, dig out shovels, blowers, & de-icers. Hey Chip, did you take off your plow??

I flipped my cutting edge over and put a nice summer storage, coat of paint on my plow today ! ! ! That should really do it. Good Luck Everyone
