Anybody out there running a pro-tech 18' LP and having problems with the rubber tearing on the discharge side?

We've got 2 20footers and have had no problems. Had the same rubber on for 2 years now and we've had 60plus inchs of snow. I'd be checking the lot you've be on for manhole covers or watermain valve boxes.

I don't have an LP, but the only time I've had torn edges is when it was improperly adjusted.

The edge is exposed to all kinds of obstacles. It's not proteckted by a shoe like typical boxes. Just wondering if we weld a very small shoe on the end, would it protect it better? You cant flip the rubber from end to end because the bolt holes don't line up.
