I am a newb. Been searching off and on for a plow bracket for my 2010 Chevy 1500. Found boss at a pawn shop for 240. He said it came off a 2008 1500. Just got done power washing. Gonna use a brush in drill to remove more rust. Then rust inhibitor and paint. Maybe a new decal. Does anyone know what boss plows will hook to my bracket. Thinking a straight blade would be best. Plow is just for my personal driveway. Any advice would be great. Thanks.

I did some searches. Pretty sure it it the right mount. Wire wheeled for longer than i will admit. Gonna use etching primer. Then paint with under coating, bed liner or rustoleum. Seems it is for a rt3 style. Thanks

They make that same mount with 2 different pin sizes - you need to measure the ID of the hole in the top of the hook that connects to the truck. The smaller mount will only take Sport duty or HTX plows. The bigger one only takes standard duty or super duty models

Did they make the bigger pin hole for a 1/2 ton mount if that's what it is...?

Thanks for the heads up on the hole sizes. Could have bought the wrong plow. Lol. Hitting it with rust reformer. Then gonna paint brush on rustoleum implement paint. Thanks again.

    Edit: misread the question

Yes - they make the same mount with 2 different pushbeams. The beam for the smaller plows uses a 3/4" pin, the bigger one uses a 1" pin. That keeps you from putting a Sport duty plow on your 1 ton dually and keeps you from putting a 9.2 DXT on your Tacoma. The thickness of the 2 hooks is slightly different also.

Certain applications like some half tons have recommended applications that land in both the Sport/HTX category and the Standard duty (and some limited super dutys too) so they make 2 different kits that fit the same truck depending on which plow is intended to be installed.

So it looks like that would be the standard duty/super duty mount. Most superduty plows would not be recommended for that truck due to weight, but the plow would physically go on.

Got the bracket painted up. Noticed at 1 time some metal was added to the top to reinforce. Anyways i made an appointment with b&b trucking gr mi. To have bracket installed as well a a new wiring harness with another harness for chevy and a controller. Rough numbers install of bracket and wiring 450. Wire harness 550 and controller straight blade. Chevy adaptor 150. I still do not have a plow. You can see the hieght the mount is set at. My truck has 1 1/2 inch level.Any advice would be great. Thanks.

I got it off the trailer by myself. Not sure how smart that was? Also came with a truck mount and like new controller. Super excited. Thanks.

Got it installed with all new bolts. Looks great. Gonna try hooking it up to the plow in the next few days. Wanna change the fluid while its hooked up. Not sure how i ended up in the end vs buying new or a different route. But so far i am happy and excited to plow. Thanks again.
