Replacing Motor Cables

    It looks like a I have a bad connection in the cables going to my Unimount motor.

    So here's my plan: Replace them with two straight cables (basically a couple of ground straps). Bolt one end to the solenoid and one to the motor. The other one I'll bolt to the battery and the motor ground lug.

    I only take the plow off once or twice a season, so it won't be a big hassle. It's only two bolts anyway. I figure this way there will be no chance of a bad connection.

    Anything wrong with this?

    No reason you can't do it.

    It would only take a bit more work though to add a heavy duty connector (Anderson style) to the cables near the grill in order to disconnect the cables.

    ditto on the Andersen connector another 10 minutes and your are good to go .
