    Anybody ever repacked rams successfully?
Is it worth it to try to repack the seals on the Big Husky Meyer Rams?
I take it you use a pipe wrench to get the end caps off?
Should I get new end caps so I don't make two 20 miles trips?
The Millsupply.com site shows 6 -O rings are involved.

I've never had much luck re-packing rams. The nuts can be real tough to get off and parts break real easy when you start to use the kind of force you need to get the ram un-packed. For my money and time - it's not worth it. I just buy another ram. Sorry I can't be of more help.

I did it few it end up being more trouble than it worth the packing nut is usually corroded on. If there any pits in the ram It will end up crewing up the new seal. Just buy new ram 2 bolts and hose good to go in 5 minutes.

Have a hydraulic shop do it- it's worth it. It may be cheaper to buy new rams. My local fisher dealer is also a hydraulic shop- check yours.
